The sacred land of Tiruvannamalai, home to the revered Arunachaleshwara Temple, will resonate with devotion and spiritual energy as devotees gather to celebrate Maha Shivratri on February 26, 2025. This night dedicated to Lord Shiva holds immense spiritual importance, offering a perfect occasion to practice devotion, gratitude, and charity through acts like Anna Daan (the offering of food). At the heart of this celebration, the Satguru Charitable Trust is organizing a large-scale Anna Daan for thousands of sadhus, ensuring they receive nourishment and blessings as they immerse themselves in prayer and meditation.
Anna Daan has long been considered a powerful act of service in Indian tradition, symbolizing the selfless sharing of sustenance to support others on their spiritual journeys. By feeding those who have dedicated their lives to the worship of Lord Shiva, this act is believed to wash away negative karma, attract good fortune, and bless the giver with abundance and peace. At Tiruvannamalai, where Lord Shiva is worshipped as the holy fire of creation, this act becomes even more sacred.
In addition to Anna Daan, we are also offering Rudraksha malas—symbolizing protection and spiritual awakening—to all the sadhus present during the event. This offering will be made on behalf of our generous donors, creating a deeper connection to Lord Shiva’s blessings. The sacred Rudraksha beads, revered for their divine properties, are a gift of spiritual energy and protection that further enhance the significance of this campaign.
We invite you to join this sacred mission and contribute to the feeding of thousands of sadhus and the distribution of Rudraksha malas. Your contribution is more than just a charitable act—it is a spiritual offering that reflects your devotion to Lord Arunachaleshwara and your wish to see others blessed and nourished. As scriptures suggest, those who give selflessly during Maha Shivratri receive Lord Shiva’s grace, which leads to inner peace, prosperity, and the cleansing of past karmic deeds.
Established in 2018, we work tirelessly to eliminate hunger, improve health, and rescue animals in distress.
