A Festival of Devotion and Triumph

Skanda Shasti is one of the most revered festivals dedicated to the worship of Lord Subramanya, also known as Lord Karthikeya. According to the Puranas, Lord Subramanya incarnated as Shanmukha, with six heads, to vanquish the demon Surapadma in the epic battle known as Sura Samhar. This grand event symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and is celebrated with deep devotion and fervor.

Annadana Seva for Lakhs of Devotees

To alleviate the hunger of these visiting devotees, as well as the poor, Satguru Charitable Trust is organizing a special Annadana Seva during the Skanda Shasti festival from October 31 to November 8, 2024, at Tiruchendur Kshetra. This Annadana Seva will ensure that the physical and spiritual needs of the devotees are met during their pilgrimage.

Every day, our trust will be feeding 25,000 to 30,000 people, providing free, wholesome meals from early morning to late at night. The Annadana will begin at 6:00 AM and continue until 11:00 PM, ensuring that all devotees and the needy are nourished during this sacred occasion.

The need for this campaign is driven by our commitment to uphold the values of compassion and respect for every individual, regardless of their status in life. By recognizing the significance of proper burial rites and food offerings, we bridge the gap between neglect and respect, affirming our dedication to the well-being of every soul.

Join the Seva and Receive Divine Blessings

Participating in Annadana Seva during Skanda Shasti is a powerful and sacred act. By contributing to this divine service, you are not only helping alleviate hunger but also receiving the abundant blessings of Lord Karthikeya.
